Philharmonia Orchestra RE-RITE exhibition

The Philharmonia Orchestra surpassed themselves with this ground-breaking audio-visual installation. Esa-Pekka Salonen, Principal
Conductor and Artistic Advisor describes the concept:

“Being inside an orchestra, experiencing the sensation of 101 players taking on this iconic music is one of the biggest adrenalin rushes, and
one that I want to share with the world.”

An immersive/interactive installation featuring a film of the Philharmonia Orchestra playing Stravinsky’s The Rite of Spring.

The PO were filmed on 29 separate cameras with microphones in each section of the orchestra, and then meticulously arranged and exhibited using larger-than-life video projections and sound throughout the installation to allow you to watch a particular group of instruments
and hear what they hear.

The exhibition appeared initially at the Bargehouse on London’s South Bank before going on touring in Leicester and more recently in Lisbon, Portugal.

Vincent Design were asked to create two pieces of literature, a promotional postcard using a two-sided craft board to give it the
a suitably contemporary and tactile feel. Followed by a sales booklet
to explain the concept to potential venues internationally to encourage them to host this quite remarkable exhibition.
